An anonymous account of a journey from Augusta to the Vasse in 1833. 1999.

Analysis of an undated, anonymous document, in journal form, believed to be an account of a previously unrecognised exploratory expedition from Augusta to the Vasse District in Western Australia in 1833. Lines discovered the document in a notebook in the Molloy papers while researching Georgiana Molloy. The authors outline the evidence to support their conclusions that the expedition took place from 7 to 18 January 1833, and was led by Captain John Molloy who was accompanied by Alfred Bussell. The analysis is followed by a full transcript of the journal, a list of references and a photocopy of the journal pages. The latter includes two Aboriginal word lists that followed the expedition account.
